2021 Cinsault | Bechtold Vineyard Lodi

Sourced from the oldest surviving Cinsault vines in the world, this wine pours a beautiful ruby copper and presents with raspberry and red cherry aromas. On the tongue, those flavors are further complemented with a touch of currant with moderate acidity. A medium body wine with moderate-low tannins, with a lingering finish of vegetal woodiness. Serve slightly chilled.

Versatile with food. Try with meaty stews or sauces such as beef bourguignon and pasta bolognese, or milder curries such as butter chicken and chicken korma. Also good with garlicky dishes such as its classic pairing of escargot or with the more "local" garlic ketchup prawns.
